the business:Dee Valley Water plc provides clean water for much of north east Wales and north west England. Along with other utilities companies in the UK, it was required by the regulator, Ofwat, to submit a Strategic Direction Statement setting out its intentions for the next 25 years.

the thinking:Conduct research with consumers and local businesses to gain deeper insight into their needs. Use this to inform Dee Valley Water's Strategic Direction Statement as a prelude to agreeing with Ofwat its water charges for the next five years.
